The Secret Technique You Can Use For Time Management — The Pomodoro Technique
“The common man is not concerned about the passage of time, the man of talent is driven by it.” — Shoppenhauer
On a normal day, I'm sitting in my chair trying to complete my Amal Project Work on time and I heard about the Pomodoro Technique for the very first time. After getting admission in the university, I've struggled a lot with managing my time properly for my studies and for other activities. I've gone on with procrastination on and on and I've missed a lot of chances which if properly addressed could've been something I could've been proud of.
So I put this Pomodoro Technique to test whether if it could be helpful in my daily work routines. Just letting you know I'm someone who prefers to get the job done at once but sometimes one single distraction leads me to waste 2 or 3 hours.
I had completed 50% of the #SuperHeroResume Course and I thought this would be the perfect time to use this. I searched for the app in Google Store, Setup the timer to 25 minutes, and started working on course.
I started quite well but just after the first small break, I started getting distractions while doing the course. I received a call from my friend, someone mentioned to me on Facebook in a comment and I remembered that I had to go out because “Podina Le Aoo”. I kept writing down all the distractions that came and went on for a few minutes. And for the first time in this fellowship actually I ended up completing 50% course within 30 minutes.
Using the Pomodoro Technique helped me achieving my goal and gave me a sense of achievement too. I now plan on using it in my other daily life routine which would require me to complete a single task in just a single Go.
